"All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you."

Song of Songs 4:7
There are these things I call “Parking Lot Prayers”. Let me explain. I shoot things up to God all day, every day and in my humanness, I figure He gets overwhelmed like I do with all the little, unnecessary things people want. Like an email inbox jam packed with things people can do on their own but it’s easier to ask you to do it. It’s the prayer you shoot up when you enter the store parking lot, “please God, let there be a spot close to the entrance”. Then my next thought is, did I really need to bug God with something so insignificant?
But here’s the thing. God knows. God knows I want a spot close to the door because I’m exhausted and need to get home to my family. He knows that hitting all red lights on the way to work derails my mental stability. He knows that all the little things add up to one big thing we’re lugging around. And His power to bear all our little and big things is limitless. He never gets tired, and He never feels like he can’t take on one more thing. So please remember, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).
May your month be filled with excellent parking spots and all green lights!
